The loss of any young, vibrant mother is horrific. Making it more horrific is a compromised crash site, an agency that is all too quick to label it an accident and easily forget about it.
Shawna Jones was a single mom just trying to make ends meet for her two young daughters. She did all the right things: she worked hard, she supported her children, and always had a smile on her face. She was one of those women who lit up a room.
How did she wind up in that pond on a cold January night? Who was there with her? Why don't the local law enforcement agencies seem to want to solve this?
