Podcasts have been growing in popularity with more Americans listening than ever before. Now kids are in on the fun too. No longer just for moms and dads, kid’s podcasts engage the whole family with master storytelling and cutting edge sound design to entertain kids with topics they love. Educators also claim that kid’s podcasts can help build listening, comprehension and vocabulary skills while developing motivation to read. Accessible from many devices, podcasts can help provide entertainment for story time, bedtime and even long car trips - all screen free - with an educational component as a bonus.

While podcasts designed just for kids are relatively new, A to Z Mysteries: Clue Club, based on the Random House Children’s Books popular chapter book series A to Z Mysteries by Ron Roy with over 10 million copies in print, is now starting its 3rd season. The innovative podcast invites listeners to join Dink, Josh, and Ruth Rose to piece together clues, interview witnesses and discover suspects to solve mysteries all over Green Lawn as part of the Clue Club.

In each episode, hijinks meets whodunit as listeners are immersed in an audio story where they hone their detective skills alongside the three kid detectives. The new season will feature 10 all new plots, building on the existing 20 episodes from previous seasons, and is recommended for kids 6-10 – but can be enjoyed by all ages!
