Friends are fun to have. But what if you have a sometimes friend? Someone that stops in to visit but not every day. The Poet stops to write in the forest and the animals know him only as a sometimes friend. They sit and listen to him write. To see just how much he is a true friend and far from being a sometimes visitor.

When you write every day. You begin to realize. The number of people that don't find enjoyment in writing. While sitting in a forest a turtle. Being Native American. It was my sacred circle. I was visited by a turtle. A creature that carried its home with him. On his back. He said, "Teach children how to write. But not in perfect form. Let their imaginations fly. Let them be themselves without ever being anybody else." So I created four stories dubbed: Mr. Poet and the Forest. Set sail across the Carolina's and appeared in elementary schools allowing school students to step away from structure and play with a writing instrument.
