Zach welcomes back Hope Sears (Podcaster, All The Classics) for a chat about pure Meh-lodrama stuffed with random globs of comedy as they dive into the 1935 Burns and Allen film, LOVE IN BLOOM.
Settle in for possibly the harshest episode on a film yet as the two trace George and Gracie’s many whereabouts at this time, take more than a minute to ponder the casting of Dixie Lee and whether or not her husband Bing Crosby was meant to star, reckon with the blandness that is leading man Joe Morrison, unravel the tonally uneven plot, attempt to decipher the reasoning for the mixed bag, and then assess as best they can the reasons why the film has much to teach about films today.
