At the National Day Rally 2022, PM Lee Hsien Loong announced that Section 377A will finally be repealed, which ends the criminalisation of gay sex. At the same time, he also announced that the traditional definition of marriage as between a man and a woman would be enshrined in the Constitution, so is it truly a step forward?
