In the midst of a federal government shutdown, newly redrawn legislative maps that could reshape Black political power, and the loss of key SNAP benefits — many families are feeling the strain. St. Joseph AME Church recently revived its Social Justice Sunday to confront these challenges head-on. The church’s new Senior Pastor, The Reverend Dr. Abdue Knox, is leading that effort. He talks to Jon Champion about the event and the path forward.
