Earlier this month, a few Republican state lawmakers introduced a bill, and part of it focuses on stripping the North Carolina High School Athletic Association of its powers to govern high school sports. Over the last week-and-a-half, numerous athletic directors and coaches across the state have voiced their strong opposition to the bill, including Colin Fegeley of Green Level High School in Cary.
