Jon Champion, WPTF Morning Show host, was able to chat with Joseph B. Cutchins, Jr, owner of Cutchins Funeral Home in Franklinton, North Carolina. Cutchins Funeral Home shares a history with Jack Johnson, the first black heavyweight boxing champion. Mr. Johnson was killed just after an automobile accident in 1946 and Mr. Cutchins' father was the one who transported the legendary boxer to a black hospital, St. Agnes Hospital in Raleigh, because he wasn't allowed in a white hospital.
