Dr. Clinton Robinson, Chief of Staff and Strategic Planning for Wake County Public Schools, joined Steve Rao on the Wake County Round Up to discuss the first week of school, the logistics involved in managing one of North Carolina’s largest school districts, and the innovative measures in place to ensure safety. Dr. Robinson provided an overview of the district’s size, including the number of schools, teachers, and students, as well as the introduction of the “Here Comes the Bus” app, which allows parents to track school buses in real-time. He was accompanied by Kendrick Scott, Senior Director of Security, who shared insights into the district’s security measures. Both emphasized the importance of transportation and safety in the district's strategic planning.
