North Carolina State University is suing Monsanto over toxic chemicals found at the university’s shuttered education and psychology building, Poe Hall. The lawsuit filed in Wake County Superior Court alleges Monsanto knowingly marketed and concealed the risks of toxic Polychlorinated Biphenyls known as PCBs. The chemicals were used in caulks, sealants, paints, adhesives, and HVAC duct sealants in Poe Hall. Stephen Porter taught inside Poe Hall for years and has been vocal about what he feels is a lack of transparency by university leadership. He joined Jeff Hamlin to discuss the lawsuit against Monsanto.
