Wool E. Bull, the beloved mascot of the Durham Bulls, is a finalist for the Mascot Hall of Fame. He is among 28 nominees, including Big Al from the University of Alabama, Homer the Dragon from the Charlotte Knights, Hugo the Hornet from the Charlotte Hornets, and Mrs. Met from the New York Mets. According to the Mascot Hall of Fame, between two and four mascots are selected each year, requiring nominees to receive at least 60% of the ballots cast.
