Two physicians at the UNC Health system have been elected to the National Academy of Medicine. Dr. Robert Ferris, the UNC Health chief of oncology clinical services, and Dr. Samantha Meltzer-Brody, the executive dean of the UNC School of Medicine, were the only physicians in North Carolina elected to the academy this year, according to health system officials. Ferris and Meltzer-Brody joined Jeff Hamlin to discuss their respective honors.
