Donald Trump remains steadfast in his claim that he won the 2020 election, continuing to deny any responsibility for the January 6th insurrection at the U.S. Capitol. During the recent debate with Kamala Harris, Trump once again refused to accept his 2020 defeat and downplayed the violent aftermath of his false claims. His grievances about the 2020 election are still central to his campaign strategy. Chris Cooper, political science professor at Western Carolina University and author of Anatomy of a Purple State, joined Jeff Hamlin to analyze Trump's debate performance and ongoing election rhetoric.
