Show Notes
Less than a year after leading N.C. State on an improbable run to the Final Four, Kevin Keatts is out as head coach. After eight seasons at the helm, Keatts was dismissed following a disappointing end to the season, with the Wolfpack failing to qualify for the ACC Tournament and closing with a loss to Miami. In his final press conference, Keatts acknowledged how much college basketball has changed, but it wasn’t enough to save his job. Adding to the irony, his firing comes just one day before the ACC Network is set to premiere Why Not Both?, a documentary about N.C. State’s dual Final Four runs last year.
Chip Alexander, longtime sportswriter for The News & Observer, joined Jeff Hamlin to discuss Keatts’ departure and what’s next for the Wolfpack.
