The government shutdown is having an impact on social program across the state. At the Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina, the shutdown is taking place at a time when they are struggling to meet demand. Food Bank officials say the federal cuts have already led to the loss of millions of dollars in funding that they would use for items like food and producer. Food Bank CEO Amy Beros joined Jeff Hamlin to discuss how the shutdown is impacting its services.
