House Speaker Tim Moore made his first public remarks in response to a lawsuit accusing him of using his power to continue a sexual relationship with a state employee. Scott Lassiter, an assistant principal at Connections Academy Middle School and a former Apex Town Council member, filed the suit against Moore for Alienation of Affection. Nate Saunders discussed the situation with Western Carolina University Political Science Professor Chris Cooper.
