Happy Halloween Month! In honor of the spooky season, we start a run on some pre-Alan Moore SWAMP THING because nothing is more frightening than a moist, musty man covered in moss.

Here, Swamp Thing finds himself in the back of a watermelon transport and is dumped in the path of a child-murdering demon. We also get a large helping of media accountability, DEATH TO SMOOCHY comparisons and swamp monster flexibility.

As a bonus, there’s even a backup tale with Phantom Stranger posting for lucha libre bumps in a hospital rampant with occult-fueled surgeons.
