Where can you find true freedom? Have you found yourself searching for something that will satisfy the longing in your heart? Today, we are continuing in ourGood News series, revealing the goodness of the Gospel. In Christ, we get to experience the truest form of freedom, eternal joy in Him. We are promised of this truth, within His word are several points and promises from Christ that reveal His ultimate desire—to save and free us from the law and burden of sin. In the depths of your souls, maybe you felt a stirring, or deep longing for something more, to be freed. When we enter in relationship with Jesus and put our trust in His Gospel, we get to step into the freedom He promises us. Jesus states that we are children of the promise and free in Christ. The law before Christ brought slavery, but the Gospel brings freedom, and we should stand firm in that freedom. We can’t muster this freedom on our own, it’s a gift given through Christ alone.
