It’s no secret that women, and specifically women of color, have been disproportionately impacted by the pandemic, but in order to mitigate the challenges, Ashley Putnam says we have to start by identifying the real barriers to economic opportunity. In her role as the director of the Economic Growth & Mobility Project (EGMP), a strategic initiative of the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia, she’s working to uncover what communities really need- from their own perspective. She sits down with Host Laura Zarrow to discuss how communities and stakeholders can join together to bring necessary and effective change.
