Mrs. Sandra York-Gumbs is an accomplished educator, leader, business manager, and woman of faith. Originally from St. Kitts, she taught in Catholic schools before moving to Anguilla, where she continued her teaching career and later transitioned to a public service role.
Motivated by a passion for education, she founded the Comprehensive Learning Centre (CLC) in 2002, providing diverse learning opportunities for Anguilla’s community. Celebrating 22 years, CLC has significantly impacted the local educational landscape.
Join us as Sandra shares her incredible journey filled with faith, hope, determination, and dedication. From battling an ongoing ear infection as a child, to moving to Anguilla and establishing her learning centre, to losing her husband to a brain tumour — her story is nothing short of WOW!
