I had the chance to speak with Diego Leiva, a successful bilingual/bicultural entrepreneur and business professional with over five decades of experience working in international business ventures, diversified investments, commercial real estate business and currently a Partner/ CIO and Asset Management Officer with the Joe Williams Land Bank Fund, a Fund investing $150 million on land acquisition and entitlement process to achieve the best and highest use for these properties.
We discussed the culture shock he experienced at the age of 15 when he immigrated to New York City from Cuba. Diego’s dream of being an astronaut led him to apply to NYU’s School of Engineering, and you’ll have to tune in to the podcast to hear the intriguing story of how he ended up with a full-ride scholarship to NYU’s Business School.
