Ep 17: In 1993, after years of alleged physical and sexual abuse, Lorena Bobbitt cut off her husband John’s penis with a knife while he was asleep in bed. The case made international news and tabloid headlines, a story so scandalous, it became inspiration for many SNL skits and late-night monologues. After making it through the Trial and ensuing media circus, Lorena was found not guilty due to temporary insanity.
