In November 2002, a 20-year-old college student left a party at his secluded Minnesota campus and vanished without a trace. Authorities initially suspected he had accidentally drowned in a nearby lake, but an exhaustive search turned up nothing. As the investigation deepened, suspicions of foul play emerged—especially in light of unsettling allegations involving members of the university and revealing discoveries on the student’s computer.
