ABC News Technology Reporter Mike Dobuski talks about how in a surprise move Tuesday, OpenAI announced it’s getting rid of its much-hyped AI video-generation tool, which it called “Sora.” Sora was originally launched in 2024 and quickly garnered plaudits, and panic, over its ability to render seemingly realistic video in just seconds. Those concerns were only exacerbated by the launch of Sora 2 last year, which added a social media element to the tool.
