I highlight scams in three areas to be aware of and how to fight back if involved in any tax scam.
These areas are:
1. Phishing which is a way to get information from you and possibly infect your computer or smartphone with malicious code.
2. Offer in compromise which is a way for scammers to prey and try to take advantage of people who owe back taxes.
3. Scamming through ID theft.
