- Discover the colonial charm of Suchitoto, visit Alejandro Cotto’s house, and enjoy lakeside sunsets.
- Experience the Civil War Trail in Cinquera with Daniel from Suchitoto Ecotours, ending at a jungle waterfall.
- Hike the stunning Santa Ana Volcano (3rd time lucky for me!) and enjoy coffee overlooking Lake Coatepeque.
- Wander colourful streets and artisan markets in Ataco on the Ruta de las Flores
- Tour a working coffee estate at El Carmen
- Chill by the Pacific coast in El Tunco and El Zonte — think surf, black-sand beaches, and good vibes
