The Chisme of One Black Man's Experience
Steven and I have been friends since 2011 when we met working together at a nonprofit in youth development working with predominantly little black boys and girls. This week I get to hear his story of growing up as a black man in Texas, how he viewed his blackness growing up and his experiences dealing with racism, although it wasn’t always overt, it was often traumatic. I so appreciate him sharing his story with me.
