Ep 139Wild on 7th- Episode #139 Buckle Up, Nick and Marcus Foligno are Here
When it comes to siblings performing at the highest level, there are none higher on that list than the Wright Brothers...try to keep up here folks....and then a very close second, but with much higher odds of punching you in the face....are the Foligno brothers! Carts and King enter a full house at TRIA Rink this week for an amazing interview with these amazing humans. They run the brothers through rapid fire, they talk leadership, the Gudas fight, and more. Buckle up, the Foligno brothers are here.
Ep 138Wild on 7th- Back-Alley-Guy Michael McCarron and Remembering Jessi Pierce
There is a void in the State of Hockey that will never be filled, as we remember our colleague and friend Jessi Pierce, who's life, alongside her 3 children and family dog, was cut short in a tragic house fire on March 21st, in White Bear Lake, MN. We will remember her and her infectious smile, and we will miss her around the rink and in the media scrum. The game of hockey lost one of its biggest fans, and one of its many voices. May you rest in peace Jessi, Hudson, Cayden, and Avery. In support of Jessi and her children, Ryan Carter and John King share some stories and admiration about Jessi, and as she would, continue on to deliver the hockey content you all desire. The guys spend some time talking about the Dallas Stars matchup over the weekend, and then welcome Minnesota Wild newcomer Michael McCarron to the show, for an awesome interview and the classic rapid fire segment.
Ep 137Wild on 7th- Episode #137 Our Team and Our Mileage are Legit
Trade deadline has passed, and the Minnesota Wild have clearly made the biggest splash in the league (that just so happened a month prior to the deadline) with Quinn Hughes. Carts and King connect this week after a flurry of pods surrounding Kirill and Zuccy, the boys high school hockey tournament and the trade deadline, so it's nice to be back in the studio for some good old fashion Wild on 7th banter! King was stuck in transit earlier this week, with a huge spring snow storm wreaking havoc on his travel plans, so we've made a couple pivots and here we are...a Wednesday pod. The guys breakdown a number of milestones happening for Minnesota Wild hockey, give some bouquets to Ryan Hartman, Equipment Manager Tony DeCosta, JoJo, Brodie, Bolds, and the list goes on! When it's all said and done, the main take away is that the Minnesota Wild are a legit team, possibly in the most legit position in franchise history, and the guys have their sights on the Stanley Cup Playoffs. Welcome back to Wild on 7th....it's almost time to get weird!
Ep 136Wild on 7th- Episode #136 Trade Deadline Recap
The National Hockey League trade deadline has passed, and The Minnesota Wild have locked their roster for the 25-26 season. With alot of chatter around the league for the last month or so, Billy Guerin has made his deals, and the Wild can exhale and focus on finishing the regular season strong. Ryan Carter is joined by fellow sweet tooth Al Stalock at the Waldorf Astoria in Vegas, as the Wild warmup for tonights battle against the Knights, and Kinger holds it down in Saint Paul, where the Boys State Tourney is in full swing. Grab yourself a T-Rex cookie, exhale, and imagine the Stanley Cup Playoff run of your dreams, because we've got our team, and now we go!
Ep 135Wild on 7th- Episode #135 The Wild Hit the Road, and the Boys State Tourney Comes Home
Another special installment of Wild on 7th, as the Boys hit the ice at Grand Casino Arena for the Minnesota State High School Hockey Tournament. Jack Jablonski joins Ryan Carter and John King for a full preview of the Boys tourney, from Class AA tilts, to Class A matchups. The guys break it down and give you their predictions, for what is sure to be another amazing tournament in the state of hockey! This isn't the hockey hair pod.....that one is likely a few days away still. Let's Play Hockey!
Ep 134Wild on 7th- Episode #134 Kirill Kaprizov and Mats Zuccarello
There are moments in the history of sports that are so big that you remember exactly where you were, the people you were with, the smells, the sounds, the purity of the moment. Hopefully today is NOT that day for you, because this is just a podcast. However, we really appreciate your enthusiasm and support, and it's still a historic day for Wild on 7th and all of our listeners. Today, one of hockey's most famous duos, Kirill Kaprizov and Mats Zuccarello, join Wild on 7th for the first time TOGETHER. Kirill and Zuccy join Ryan Carter and John King for an amazing show that goes well beyond hockey. Stories of youth sports, equipment mods, vacations, and international travel, are just scratching the surface. The guys spend nearly an hour in-studio, and the interactions between the two could nearly carry the whole show itself. They've been bugging us for years to come on the show, and we were finally able to clear our calendars so we could share the airwaves together. Grab yourself a PB&J, or a bowl of borscht, and enjoy the show.
Ep 133Wild on 7th- Episode #133 American Swagger and DJ Daemon Hunt
USA, USA, USA!!! This week we break down Team USA’s electric gold medal win over Canada in the Olympics. Wild standouts Brock Faber, Matt Boldy, and Quinn Hughes get it done on the world stage and shock the hockey world. A huge shoutout to our Frost friends, Grace Zumwinkle and Taylor Heise on bringing that gold back the Minnesota! Gold secured. Hardware installed. Warranty activated. Also welcoming Wild defenseman, Daemon Hunt. We covered it all, from his unique journey to the league to his interests off the ice. Fashion, house music, and video games make for a jack of all trades. This episode is PACKED for your listening and viewing pleasure. Bask in GOLD glory!
Ep 132Wild on 7th- Episode #132 When the Wild are away, the State of Hockey still Plays
When The Minnesota Wild are away, the State of Hockey still plays, and the Girls State High School Hockey Tournament kicks off this week at Grand Casino Arena, so Jack Jablonski joins us to weigh in on what to expect from the girls in Saint Paul. Kinger is also away this week, so Carts digs into the girls tourney, and gets Jack's take on what he has seen so far in the Olympics. Look for a boys tourney preview in the near future. The Olympic tournaments are heating up as well, and we will certainly break down these matchups as they come.
Ep 131Wild on 7th- Episode #131 Dan Brooks (Son of Herb Brooks)
The opening ceremonies in Milan-Cortina are complete, and the Winter Olympic Games have begun, and what better way to celebrate the Winter Olympics than to be joined by Dan Brooks, son of 1980 USA Hockey coach Herb Brooks. Find a comfy chair, and maybe a blanket like King would use if he were sitting in Billy G's living room, because this pod has some stories. Listen to the behind the scenes stories from Dan, who at the time was just a 7th grade rink rat running around the olympic facilities, bumping elbows and asking for autographs, while the hockey world was changing right before his eyes. There is nothing more special to a hockey fan, than reliving the 1980 Miracle On Ice from someone who lived it. What a magical experience, and magical stories from Dan. King and Carts have a pretty great breakdown of this years opening ceremonies, along with their experiences at various football parties yesterday.
Ep 130Wild on 7th- Episode #130 Grace Zumwinkle and Taylor Heise
The 2026 Winter Olympics start this week in Milan-Cortina, and the representation from Minnesota is HUGE to say the least. The Minnesota Wild are sending a ton of players and personnel, and the Minnesota Frost and Golden Gophers are getting in on the fun as well. Taylor Heise and Grace Zumwinkle join us this week, before heading to Italy on their quest for Gold. The ladies chat about their Olympic dreams, their teammates Kelly Pannek and Abbey Murphy among others, and how they plan to get comfortable in the Olympic village. Kinger expresses his absolute admiration for all things TEAM USA, starting with the Ralph Lauren gear that every athlete will adorn for opening and closing ceremonies. While the girls discuss the olympic village, game day fits, and preferred candle scents, the dreams of Gold dance in all of our heads. The 2026 Winter Olympics are upon us, and these two-time Walter Cup champions have set their sites on the top of the podium. Stop by for a listen, but give yourself some extra time to get you cha cha's in, cause this pod is lengthy one. This is Wild on 7th with an Olympic sized warmup. USA! USA! USA!
Ep 129Wild on 7th- Episode #129 Filip "The GusBus" Gustavsson
Nothing celebrates community hockey in Minnesota quite like Hockey Day Minnesota, and Hastings and the local organizing committee there absolutely crushed it. Carts and King dive into the wildly successful event, the jerseys, the layout, the facilities, you name it, it was top notch. As for the Wild game against FLA, the fans were treated to entertaining game, and for the 20th time this season, the Wild pushed the game into extra time. Unfortunately coming up short in OT, because of a much less favorable RAT, the Wild grabbed a point and look to finish the month strong before their Olympic break. Later in the show, we are joined by the GusBus himself, #32 Filip Gustavsson, for some typical Gus insight, that ranges from potty training to video games. This Swedish goaltender talks about his aspirations with team Sweden, his daily fun being a dad with a couple youngsters at home, and how he sneaks in time to join teammates online for some gaming. Always fun to have this tendy on the show! Like, subscribe, and listen up. Howdy boys, it's Filip Gustavsson.
Ep 128Wild on 7th - Episode #128 Jamie Hersch, Minnesota Sports, and Hockey Day MN
Wild on 7th is heating up with our latest sponsor, and the official partner of the Minnesota Wild, Ororo Heated Apparel. King is going sleeveless without worry, and Carter needs to preheat as he has a long day in the broadcast booth ahead for Hockey Day Minnesota: Hastings. The Wild are playing some great hockey, Moose doubled his goal output in the span of a few games, with goals or multiple goals in every since his wife Natascia joined the pod, and what could be better than that? The guys are feeling the buzz, celebrating and supporting community hockey, and are joined by long time Hockey Day Minnesota anchor Jamie Hersch. Jamie talks about her humble beginnings on the sports grind, what it takes to get there, and who she credits for inspiring her to reach for the stars. She talks about her experience across the NHL, the teams she holds close to her heart, the teams that have historically broken her heart, and more. Lock in for Wild on 7th, and stay warm with Ororo. We're here....
Ep 127Wild on 7th Episode #127 Danielle Spurgeon and Natascia Foligno
Wiggity, wiggity, wiggity, WAGS! Wild on 7th's most popular show of the season has arrived! The WAGS are BACK. For those of you that don't know what that means...it's W(ives) A(nd) G(irlfriend)s, and it almost always is a complete banger of a show. This week we welcome back Captain of the WAGs Danielle Spurgeon and a new face on the pod, Mama Moose aka Natascia Foligno. The ladies grace us with some amazing insight into their own and their husbands lives, and share some laughs with the guys. Carts and King jump around the league a bit to kick things off. They weigh in on Cart's youth hockey tourney madness, pond hockey with Anders Lee and the New York Islanders, Sergei Fedorov retirement ceremony, and more. Late in the show, we are joined by Stacey Nutini, founder of "Ladies of the NHL" Facebook groups who are doing amazing charity work, and just bringing ladies together under their shared love of NHL hockey teams around the league. It's a long one this week, but it's all amazing, so get after it, and drop a like or a comment on what you think.
Ep 126Wild on 7th - Episode #126 Does Your Team Have a Mental Performance Specialist?
The Minnesota Wild have been playing some pretty great hockey lately, but it wasn't always like that. There was a time in the fairly recent past that the fans of the Minnesota Wild were mentally in a very different place, however most Minnesotan's don't have a mental performance specialist to lean on. Yet, regardless of the lows, or the highs, the Minnesota Wild have been quite resilient, and very possibly because of the teachings of their Mental Performance Specialist Aaron Bogosian. Brother of Defenseman Zach Bogosian, Aaron grew up in a household of brothers, and seemingly was born for this job. With both a professional hockey background, and military experience, Aaron Bogosian brings a sense of presence and familial support to the Wild lockeroom. Aaron credits his work ethic and mental toughness to his upbringing, and the fact that we can now help the next generation of young hockey professionals in Minnesota, just might be his true calling. Carts and King go deep with Bogo, but only as far as one would think when you're in the presence of such selflessness. A truly interesting interview, and beyond that includes the Olympic rosters that the guys breakdown. The snubs, the stars, the trivia, it's all here to kick off 2026. Let's Go.
Ep 125Wild on 7th - Episode #125 Jack Jablonski Joins Us
The Minnesota Wild have snapped their win streak, losing to the Colorado Avalanche at Grand Casino Arena on Sunday evening, but are already eyeing Nashville to redeem themselves before a quick Christmas break. Carter and Kinger talk about the new Minnesota Wild, and the conversation goes deep! From Ryan Hartman doing Ryan-Hartman-things, to the Tarasenshow coming into his own, the Wild are really having some fun on the ice, and a single loss to Colorado on the back end of a back to back is NOT anything to be worried about. The hosts break down why Stanley Cup Playoff structure is so brutal in their opinion, whether or not they think Billy G is done making moves, and ultimately, that Gary Bettman is likely a fan of the show! Later in the show, Minnesota icon Jack Jablonski joins us to introduce his involvement as our State of Hockey correspondent. He gives us a little background about his experience working in the NHL, some of the celebrity encounters he's had working in Hollywood, and then a quick update on the successes of the Jack Jablonski foundation! You still have a few hours to get your Christmas shopping done, so go get after it, and have a wonderful Holiday break!
Ep 124Wild on 7th - Episode #124 The Minnesota Wild Acquire Quinn Hughes
Quinn Hughes. Quinn Hughes. Quinn Hughes. If you say it three times, does he just arrive like a genie? Try it. The Minnesota Wild have acquired Quinn Hughes from the Vancouver Canucks. It's a fact that many hockey fans are still digesting, but it's real, and it's quite amazing when you really break it down. To break it down for you, Alex Stalock joins Wild on 7th in-studio this week, John King lands his whale of a bold prediction, Wild Radio Joe O'Donnell talks botany among other things, and Ryan Carter maintains his swagger among all the chaos. Stalock and O'Donnell were both on the call for Quinn's first game with the Wild, and both provide their unique insight on the historic night. Carter gives an amazing assessment of Billy Guerin's rationale surrounding the trade, and also chimes in with some amazing stories from his days playing juniors. Quinn Hughes. Quinn Hughes. Quinn Hughes. Poof....here's the best pod of the season so far.
Ep 123Wild on 7th - Episode #123 Marian Gaborik
Carter joins us from the road, with his early wake up call in Seattle before tonights tilt against the Kraken, and Kinger holds down the studio to break down this long road trip, with one last tilt before the team flys home tomorrow. We had this one holstered for a minute, as we wanted to give the Chicelt's interview a moment to breathe, and then bring you some holiday cheer with this fun interview with a Wild favorite. The guys talk podcasts, they talk about his life after hockey, his magical 5 goal night, and his favorite coach...shocker....it's not a shocker. Grab a beverage and a snack, and sit tight for a great interview with an absolute star....Marian Gaborik.
Ep 122Wild on 7th - Episode #122 Jake Middleton Needs a New Snow Blower
This week on Wild on 7th, the podfathers sit down with fan-favorite, Jake Middleton, for a wide-open, laugh-heavy conversation that hits everything from the team’s recent on-ice surge to the unexpected chaos happening off it. Jake walks us through the origin story of the “Redwood Hat” that’s suddenly become the must-have item in the locker room and how it's turned into the squad’s unofficial badge of honor. He also talks about settling into his new life in the suburbs—complete with an electric snow blower and one tiny shovel—and gives us a peek into day-to-day neighborly living as a Minnesota Wild defenseman. Door dash, burgers, and Bunny's, and of course, no episode would be complete without a little behind-the-scenes team lore, including how Zuccarello might actually be Napoleon. Cool and collected leadership, all around the room. It’s one of the season’s funniest and most genuine conversations—don’t miss it.
Ep 121Wild on 7th - Episode #121 Nico Sturm, Bratwursts, and Cigarettes
The holiday season has finally arrived, and if you haven't started thawing out your thanksgiving turkey, I'd get on that or you won't be ready for dinner! Carts is a bit punch drunk on this pod, after a long day of travel and getting stuck on the runway in Winnipeg last night, but still delivered the pod in professional fashion. Kinger, knowing that Carter was sleep deprived, and assuming a possibly weakened condition, approached the age old "what's the best holiday?" topic with full confidence. We'll let you decide. The Minnesota Wild are certainly thawed out, and one might argue, HOT! King's whiskers are coming in thick, Fabes is bringing joy, Boldy is bringing leadership, and Kirill continues to bring points, but one familiar face is also back after injury...Nico Sturm. The German joins the pod this week and has a lot to say! Whether it's understanding your role, or what you can learn from playing with and against some of the biggest names in the league, Nico's wisdom is evident. This is a guy that knows how to play the game, because he's studied it, and practiced it, and then executes when it matters. So get those brats boiling, grab a beer, and settle in for an amazing show featuring your newest favorite German. Prost!
Ep 120Wild on 7th- Episode #120 Marcus Johansson is G'd Up From the Feet Up
Mr.1000, Marcus Johansson drops by the pod this week to talk about his newly acquired comma, following his 1,000th NHL game and ceremony. Carts and King are simply excited to have a new Swede on the show that isn't playing between the pipes. Marcus talks about his up bringing in Sweden, his extensive NHL experience, World championships experiences, and playing with some of the greatest to play this game. JoJo's style sense also came to light, as he showed off his new kicks and talked about this new venture. It is an outstanding feat to play 1000 NHL games, and with the number of points JoJo is putting up in the first month and half of the season, it appears he's making a solid case for the Swedish National team and a potential appearance in Milan. Jojo is on a heater as of late, and we are all for him continuing this pace! Listen up and get inside the head of our stoic swede, Marcus Johansson.
Ep 119Wild on 7th- Episode 119 Smelling salts with friends, and Alumni Goaltender Niklas Backstrom
The Minnesota Wild have been searching for their game, but look like they are getting closer to finding it as of late. What changed you ask? It may have to do with the return of a key ingredient in the peanut butter and jelly sandwich recipe. Carts and King breakdown what they've seen over the last week or so, and although some topics may have flashed the feeds already, the guys need to get their takes in. From Jojo's "no goal" goal," to Wallstedt doing his best Optimus Prime impression, and Trenin leading the league in hits for the moment, Wild on 7th's attention span bounces around like a TikTok feed this week. Kinger even bounces around the league with his TikTok teams! The Minnesota Wild are at home through the end of next week, so grab yourself a sandwich and a glass of milk, and listen up for some fresh takes, and a great look back with an awesome interview with Niklas Bäckström.
Ep 118Wild on 7th - Episode #118: Faceoffs and First Timer Vinnie Hinostroza
Following a "relief" of a win against the Vancouver Canucks, the Minnesota Wild will try to maintain composure over the next 4 games in only 6 days. Ryan Carter and John King connect for this weeks show with a little glimmer of a win in their eyes, after a tough stretch for Minnesota sports fans, let alone a struggling Wild team. The guys break it down, talk about the "players only" meeting spearheaded by Jared Spurgeon, and touch on what it's going to take to maintain a winning level of play. First time guest, Vinnie Hinostroza joins the pod for some amazing stories from both his youth, and his experienced NHL career, both oddly enough, right alongside Ryan Hartman for a lot of it. Can you imagine what those two got into at out of town hockey tournaments as kids?
Ep 117Wild on 7th- Episode #117 Pierre Marc Bouchard, Brian Rolston, and the Light at the End of the Tunnel
Carts and King aren't letting the darkness creep in, even though the boys might feel like they're in an endless tunnel right now. For a week that didn't produce much to talk about, the hosts sure had a lot to say. But let's be honest, it was a tough week to be a Minnesota sports fan, but this show is going to change all that! Buckle up for a marathon pod, all leading up to an amazing interview with some legendary Minnesota Wild Alumns in Pierre Marc Bouchard, and Brian Rolston. The guys talk about style on and off the ice, how to dangle across the blue line or on the shootout approach, and how sometimes you just need to take a clap bomb from the hashmarks. Bouchard and Rolston talk about their time under Jacques Lemaire, the fond memories of the Xcel Energy Center, and how team meals were often made at home in those days. The Minnesota Wild celebrate their first 25th anniversary game tonight against the Winnipeg Jets, so listen up for a great pre-game pod, and dust off the old sweaters for a blast from the past.
Ep 116Wild on 7th- Episode #116: Carts and King, Trivia, and PJ Fleck's Leap
The Minnesota Wild are kicking off the season with their first long road trip, and they head into Madison Square Garden tonight with high hopes. Ryan Carter and John King bring you another installment of your favorite hockey podcast. While King is rocking his new shirt from the Lainey Wilson show the other night, Carts gives flowers to Jesper Wallstedt, the guys discuss Daniel Yurov's recent contributions, and King's love of Dallas. Stick around for some fun with another 25th anniversary trivia segment, and even a college football check-in for the guys to discuss coaching, and PJ Fleck's recent jump for joy.
Ep 115Wild on 7th- Episode #115: Water Skiing with Jacques Lemaire
Minnesota Wild drop their home opener against the Columbus Blue Jackets, but it has been a hot start for Matt Boldy and dolla dolla bill Kirill Kaprizov. Ryan Carter and John King breakdown the first couple games of the season, talk about the home opener, and shut down the nonsense from the critical Minnesota fanbase. If the glass is half full, do as this pod preaches, and break the mold of negative perspectives. The hosts have some fun with another round of 25th anniversary trivia, and an 11-time Stanley Cup Champion, and former Minnesota Wild Head Coach, Jacques Lemaire joins us for a walk down memory lane. We're just getting warmed up, and have a long season ahead, so lace up, foil up, and listen up to one of the 100 greatest hockey players in the history of the NHL.
Ep 114Wild on 7th- Episode #114: Vladimir Tarasenko and Bold Predictions with Joe O'Donnell
Wild radio play by play Joe O'Donnell stops by the pod for another season opening edition of BOLD PREDICTIONS. Carts and King keep the banter light, the accusations fresh and the competition fierce as they outline their predictions for what is sure to be an exciting season. Kirill Kaprizov signed his deal, GusBus signed his deal, but now who is buying dinner at Billy's Sushi? Strap in for a long one, because after all the fun and games, a first time guest of the pod, Vladimir Tarasenko stops by for some amazing conversation. Hear what he has to say about life, winning Cups, and what he likes on his chicken, just don't ask him about the science behind kick points. If you make it to the end of this pod, you can do anything!
Ep 113Wild on 7th - Episode #113: Alex Stalock, Hobby Farms and Hockey
Buckle up for an EGGcelent show this week. Former Wild goaltender turned "hobby farmer" Alex Stalock stepped out of the chicken coop and into the pod studio for some fun banter about the Ryder Cup, some preseason hockey, and his love of Jelly Roll. Carter and King share some laughs about the trends on the internet, and conclude that sometimes they'd rather not make sense of things. Did you know farm fresh eggs can sit on the counter for weeks and still be good to eat? Don't take nutritional or food safety tips from a hockey podcast...or you may end up with blue egg shell on your face.
Ep 112Wild on 7th - Episode #112: Chris Kelleher, Kirill Kaprizov, and Preseason Uncertainty
Your favorite Minnesota Wild podcast is back for a new season with Ryan Carter and John King! While Huss the producer might still be in preseason form, the true talents are ready for puck drop, but there seems to be one thing on their minds right now. Join Wild on 7th as Carts and King break down their takes on the Kaprizov negotiation, how the first preseason game went in Winnipeg, and what to look forward to before the regular season starts. Wild Assistant General Manager, and Team USA Director of Player Development, Chris Kelleher joins as a first time guest, with some great insight on scouting, and how to effectively disarm a dachshund. It's hockey season again, and Trenny-thing is possible.

From new dress codes to load management, Billy G isn’t holding back with his takes. The Wild may be running it back this year, but his expectations remain sky-high as the young bucks look to make their mark. Stay tuned for our special State Fair show dropping this Friday!
Ep 109Ep #109 Wild on 7th Boat's in the Water and Vibes are Afloat
Carts and King swing by the TRIA studio for a marathon summer vibe check in the State of Hockey. The guys talk about their summer plans so far, the never ending trolling feed from the Stanley Cup Champions, the NHL Draft, shaking up free agency, and obviously the vibe check since some major Wild pieces are currently without signed deals. Can King get any sleep when the kids are out for the night? I think he'll feel much better when Rossi and Kaprizov "make it home safely," and he can relax. Hope you can enjoy a wonderful summer pod to hold you over until the Minnesota State Fair. Details to be announced in the coming weeks.
Ep 108Ep #108 Wild on 7th Season Wrap with Bill Guerin
"It Felt Different." This was a line that we've heard a lot lately, and hopefully you have also felt this different feeling. Bill Guerin joins the pod to help put a bow on the season, and in classic Billy fashion, he did just that. How else might one wrap a HARD season, but with a quick screening of the cinematic genius that is Strange Brew! Billy talks about his feelings while watching the Stanley Cup Playoffs, how this season felt different, how proud he is of the team for continually battling, and how he is going into the biggest summer of his tenure with the Minnesota Wild. Can we crack the mold of Minnesota sports culture, shift expectations, and build a real winning attitude? We are getting there one podcast at a time. Massive thank you to the Wild on 7th fans who’ve rocked with us all year. Stay tuned for updates, and subscribe to all of our channels so you don't miss anything in the off season.
Ep 107Wild on 7th Episode #107 VGK Game 6 Recap- It Felt Different
Ryan Carter and John King are joined by the voice of Wild Radio, Joe O'Donnell to break down game 6. The Minnesota Wild have been beaten by the Vegas Golden Knights in the first round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs, but the reality is, this season felt different. Not only did the team battle through adversity through the entire season and seemed to maintain, if not excel in areas without huge pieces of their team missing, but they entered the playoffs and carried themselves with a bit more experience than we are used to seeing. Give it a listen, and head into the off season with more experience than you had last year, and get ready, because next fall will be here faster than you think. A season finale will drop next week.
Ep 106Ep #106 Wild on 7th VGK Game 5 Recap- The Past Stays There.
After further review, we'd rather not have any more reviews, but the truth is, we still have a game 6. Ryan Carter hot off the team plane from Vegas, burns into the studio to catch up with John King, and our playoff staple Wild Radio Joe O'Donnell joins us for a quick breakdown of game 5, and then all eyes on game 6. Much like the narrative of the last few podcasts, the guys really lean into the fact that the past is the past, even if we're talking about last night. The series is coming back to the State of Hockey, and Wild Joe Radio has a vision. We might have teased the bingo card for these shows, but this is next level. Listen up, break the mold, and change the narrative. Boldy's dog was not kicked...it's a figure of speech folks, but let's hope he still plays like it was.
Ep 105Ep #105 Wild on 7th VGK Game 4 Recap- Create an Expectation to Win
No Sunday scaries here on the Game 4 Recap! Ryan Carter and John King are joined by Wild Radio host Joe O'Donnell for a recap of Round 1 Game 4 of the Stanley Cup Playoffs. The guys break down the playoff narratives, talk about having the expectation to win, how the Minnesota fan base doesn't know what that means yet, and how WE ALL NEED TO BREAK THE MOLD. They also lean into the truths that are all right in front of us, that history doesn't matter in the Stanley Cup Playoffs, that Marcus Foligno deletes people, that Trenin is stepping up big, Decausemaker is crushing the anthems, and that we need to be done with the Minnesota sports mentality. These guys are going to prove it.
Ep 104Ep #104 Wild on 7th VGK Game 3 Recap- At Home Hype with Heise
Xcel Energy Center was absolutely rocking last night, in part kickstarted by Lake City royalty, Minnesota Frost Superstar, and recent World Champion, Taylor Heise with a strong "Let's Play Hockey" call.
