Not many people can say they’re an Olympian. Even fewer can say they’ve been apart of a team that has defeated Team USA in international competition. Stan Okoye has done both, and he sat down with us to discuss the historic journey with Team Nigeria over the years, that has allowed them to become one of the most promising basketball countries in the world.
We also discuss the ups and downs of European basketball. From dealing with injuries, getting cut, bad business transactions and more, we get real on some of the horror stories that most people won’t tell you when it comes to #overseasbasketball.
And what about the Hoop State, players like John Wall, Bam Adebayo, The Martin Twins, and so many more who have hailed from North Carolina, and made it to the pinnacle of basketball, we reminisce on some of the great hoopers to come out of the state, and what it was like playing against a young phenom in John Wall!
