James Palmer is one of the best players to come out of the DMV area in the last ten years. After a successful college career that spanned through the ACC and the Big Ten, palmer made the jump to the NBA G League to chase his dreams of playing in the best basketball league in the world. But after dominating the G League for two years, and receiving a training camp invite by the LA Clippers, Palmer decided to take the overseas route despite the reality of being on the cusp of getting an NBA call up.
But Why?
Palmer sat down with us to discuss the decision to walk away from NBA opportunities in favor of going to Poland, and now France, where he has become one of the best players in all of Europe.
We discuss his favorite matchups in the french league, all-star weekend, and of course the Eurocup season.
But we couldn't let this opportunity pass without discussing some DMV hoops, and turning back the clock to the team Takeover, St. Johns, and Wise days before the Top 100 ranking and All Big Ten honors.
