In Journalism: (11:14) It's been uncovered recently that the Daily Mail has approached writers of colour to be the face of negative ghost-written pieces about things like Notting Hill Carnival. So what is the point of Comment Journalism when publications even think to operate like this?
In the 1st of two TV segments: (24:30) The final season of Top Boy dropped last week. If you want my thoughts on it and the show as a whole, tune into next week's DITD; for now, here's a great piece on how the locals of "Summerhouse" lived as Top Boy was filming.
In the 2nd TV segment: (34:26) Suits has been popping off recently with viewership skyrocketing. As a long-time Suits fan, it makes me happy that the show is blowing up, but why exactly is Suits popping off now of all times?
Lastly, in Music: (56:32) In it's 31 year history, the Mercury Prize was finally awarded to a Jazz act. And in the days since, it's been wonderful watching Ezra Collective and UK Jazz as a whole finally get their respect.
