Berit (Brit) Brogaard is a Professor of Philosophy and the Director of the Brogaard Lab for Multisensory Research at the University of Miami. Her educational background includes a medical degree in neuroscience and a doctorate in philosophy.
Her areas of research include perception, synesthesia, blindsight, consciousness, neuro-psychiatry and emotions. On this episode Professor Brogaard takes us inside the lives and brains of geniuses, savants, and a wide variety of ordinary people who have acquired truly extraordinary talents, one way or another. She also dives deep on her work ethic, frameworks she's implemented and how her research has impacted her approaches to life.
