Join Pastor Stuart for the second sermon in the series, One of Us. Today, we look at Galatians 4:4-5 to hear a message . . . "Born Under the Law". In this message, we are encouraged by the fact that Jesus, the Son of God, was born under the law for us. Being under the law, at the very least, includes the idea that we must meet the demand or face the penalty. Jesus met all the demands of God's law. Those who trust in Jesus are freed from the law as law and adopted into God's family. So let's praise God for the gift of Jesus with our lips and with our lives. At the same time, we need to understand that the incarnation is foundational to knowing God and experiencing salvation. The appropriate response to the mystery of the incarnation is awestruck worship. So let’s earnestly ponder the reality of Jesus, God in the flesh, that we would worship and adore him. In this message, we are encouraged to always be ready to explain our hope in Christ. Here are some of the main points from the sermon: Being prepared begins and ends (and includes everything in-between) with Jesus. When we share our hope with others, we do so with gentleness and respect. We also want to make sure we have a good conscience when we give a reason for our hope. Let’s grow deeper in the hope we have in Christ and share that hope with others. You can learn more about Westminster Presbyterian Church at https://www.westminsterpca.net. Join Pastor Stuart for the fourth lesson in our series, High Hopes. This week, we turn to Romans 5:1-5 to hear about . . . "Glorious Hope". Today, we are reminded that: Those who trust in Jesus have a glorious hope. This hope is grounded in God’s grace to us in Christ. Because of Jesus, we who believe have a right standing with God. Since we have this standing in Christ, we not only have peace with God, but we also have assurance of God’s ongoing, steadfast love for us. God’s love for us in Christ culminates in glory. This is why we can rejoice in hope even in suffering. So in all our circumstances, let’s rejoice in the sure and certain hope of glory we have in Christ.
