What's Already Surrendered
Surrender is often talked about in spirituality as a possible future event. Not something to be concerned about in the near term. It sounds like an admirable thing, but the benefits aren't clear. However, it is not actually something that we do, or can do. It can happen, but any effort to surrender on our part is inevitably tainted with self-interest. Or, alternatively, we may discover that which is already surrendered and could not be otherwise.
