Insecurity may be felt as vulnerability, restlessness, anxiety, or fear. We feel that there is something about us that is at risk of loss or pain. Maybe not always and maybe not in the foreground, but somehow it is often lurking in the vicinity. Could this prevalent sense of insecurity be a perfectly reasonable response to what we take ourselves to be?
