Pieter De Poortere is cartoonist en vooral bekend als geestelijke vader van de woordenloze hitreeks Boerke. Deze reeks doet het inmiddels zo goed dat Boerke vanaf 29 maart zelfs als animatiereeks te zien is op Canvas.
