By allowing ourselves to feel our emotions, even the uncomfortable ones, we can break free from the cycle of emotional eating. It's a matter of understanding that these feelings are a natural part of the human experience and that there's no need to fear or avoid them.
By slowing down, noticing the physical sensations in our bodies, and questioning the thoughts that arise, we can gradually learn to sit with these emotions without resorting to food for comfort. It's a skill that takes practice, but it's a skill that can profoundly transform our relationship with food and ourselves.
