Vandaag is het precies 100 jaar geleden dat in Antwerpen de Olympische Spelen van start gingen. De openingsceremonie vond plaats in het stadion van Beerschot. Meteen ook de start van de voetbalrivaliteit tussen Beerschot en Antwerp. En er werden voor het eerst duiven losgelaten als symbool voor de vrede.
