Warriors coach Stephen Kearney has joined the likes of Manly's Des Hasler and the Roosters' Trent Robinson in calling on the NRL to stick with two referees when it resumes.
The competition restart committee is planning to cut back to one referee in a cost-saving measure, but one which is also expected to be popular with fans.
Kearney says it's too little notice for him and his players.
"I know there's been a lot of debate about having two referees on the field, but to throw that on us in three weeks time, that's too big of an adjustment."
Tomorrow contact training is allowed for the first time since all 16 clubs began preparing for the May 28 resumption.
Kearney says the week that's gone has been about re-introducing the basics.
"Some of them haven't been able to pass a ball to players. They may have been passing it to their wives over the break. It' worked out well that we've been able to focus on skills."
