The Wellington Phoenix stunned famous Welsh football club Wrexham 1-nil in their pre-season match in the capital. Wellington Phoenix academy striker Luke Flowerdew was the hero of the match, having scored the second-half strike that helped the team win. New Zealand pole vaulter Olivia McTaggart has produced the performance of her career in winning the Diamond League event at London’s Olympic Stadium. In front of a sold-out crowd of 60,000, McTaggart leapt to a new lifetime best, clearing 4.73m to claim the victory on a countback. McTaggart joined Piney to discuss. The Wellington Saints are hoping it'll be lucky number 13 when they host the Southland Sharks in this afternoon's New Zealand basketball league final. The All Blacks have a laundry list of new injuries to worry about but it's an improving picture for some of their older ones ahead of the Rugby Championship. The Black Sox have kept their WBSC Men's Softball World Cup hopes alive after securing a walkoff win over the United States. That win was the Black Sox their first Super Round Win. The Junior Tall Blacks incredible run has continued at the Under 19 World Cup in Lausanne.
