Triathlete Hayden Wilde has placed second in his debut 70.3 Ironman World Championship event in Taupo.
The Olympic silver medallist finished with a time of three hours, 33 minutes and 22 seconds, finishing one minute and 13 seconds behind Belgian winner Jelle Geens.
