陳舜臣略歴：
1924年神戸市生まれ。父は台湾出身の貿易商。大阪外国語学校（大阪外大、現阪大外国語学部）インド語学科卒。戦後一時期台湾で教鞭を執り、後に家業を継ぐため日本に帰還、1961年に江戸川乱歩賞受賞、直木賞や日本推理作家協会賞を受賞し作家として活躍。2015年1月21日、老衰のため神戸市内の病院で死去。享年90歳。
