In January 2025, Andreessen Horowitz emerged as the leading investor in the U.S. startup scene, completing thirteen deals. The firm co-led ElevenLabs' $180 million round, valuing it at $3.3 billion, and participated in several other significant rounds, including Hippocratic AI's $141 million Series B and Whatnot's $265 million Series E. General Catalyst followed with eight deals, co-leading Onebrief's $50 million Series C. Alumni Ventures secured seven deals, focusing on AI companies. Sequoia Capital and Bessemer Venture Partners each completed six deals, with Sequoia co-leading a $150 million round for Phantom. Other notable investors, including Pioneer Fund and Y Combinator, completed five and nineteen deals, respectively. Google invested an additional $1 billion into Anthropic, expanding its investment in AI.
