In 2024, startup funding increased across four countries. The Philippines reported $245 million in funding, a 67% rise from the previous year, driven by significant investments in companies like Salmon, Dali Discount, and Lhoopa. Ireland's venture funding nearly reached $1.2 billion, doubling from the previous year, with notable amounts raised by TechMet, Mainstay Medical, and SynOx Therapeutics. Argentina saw a funding surge to $415 million, largely due to Uala's $300 million Series E round, amidst economic challenges from a major currency devaluation. The Czech Republic experienced funding growth to $337 million, a fourfold increase, primarily from Rohlik Group and Mews, although many rounds were under $10 million. Overall, these increases followed previous years of low funding levels.
