In June 2024, multiple companies secured significant funding, particularly in autonomous vehicles, AI, and biotechnology. Cruise raised $850 million from General Motors to restart autonomous car programs in Phoenix, Dallas, and Houston. AlphaSense, an AI-driven market intelligence platform, raised $650 million and acquired Tegus for $930 million, increasing its valuation to $4 billion. Sila Nanotechnologies secured $375 million to advance its battery materials production plant in Washington. Formation Bio obtained $372 million to enhance AI-driven drug development. CData Software raised $350 million to improve data connectivity solutions. Both Creatio and Foodsmart received $200 million, with Creatio focusing on no-code platforms and Foodsmart on telenutrition. Marea Therapeutics launched with $190 million to develop cardiometabolic disease medicines. Sidecar Health secured $165 million to streamline healthcare access. Huntress, a cybersecurity firm, raised $150 million, targeting small businesses and achieving unicorn status.
