Menlo Ventures and Anthropic have launched a $100 million AI fund called the Anthology Fund to support AI-first applications and infrastructure solutions using Anthropic's technology. The fund targets five areas: infrastructure, frontier applications, consumer experiences, trust and safety, and societal benefit solutions, with investments ranging from $100,000. Menlo Ventures initially invested in Anthropic in early 2023 and later led a $750 million funding round. Anthropic will not hold stakes in funded companies, following trends in AI-specific funds like the $175 million OpenAI Startup Fund, Salesforce Ventures' $500 million Generative AI Fund, and Databricks' AI Fund.
