In February, nine companies achieved unicorn status, primarily within the healthcare and cybersecurity sectors. Artificial intelligence contributed to some of these new unicorns in healthcare, cybersecurity, sales, and marketing. Four unicorns originated from the United States, while one each came from Saudi Arabia, China, Israel, Ireland, and Canada. Private equity played a crucial role in funding these companies, with growth equity firms leading six rounds and venture capital firms leading three. The total value of the new unicorns increased by $15.6 billion, with the companies receiving $1.9 billion in funding.
