Chainalysis, a known blockchain research firm, hires Jim Lee, a former IRS veteran, as their Global Head of Capacity Building. Lee previously led operations to close down the dark web market, Hydra, seized cryptocurrency associated with Hamas funding, and disrupted operations of an illegal site using cryptocurrency for child exploitation. Lee has highlighted the importance of equipping law enforcement with efficient tools and complete data to counteract criminal activities. The intention is to make the crypto ecosystem as secure as possible. At Chainalysis, Lee's priority will be assisting international agencies in fighting crypto crime.
