Anduril Industries secured $2.5 billion in a Series G funding round, raising its valuation to $30.5 billion. Founders Fund led this round, which aims to strengthen the company's balance sheet for manufacturing and production. Since its establishment in 2017, Anduril has raised over $6 billion, indicating significant growth in the defense tech sector. Other investors include General Catalyst, Andreessen Horowitz, Valor Equity Partners, BlackRock, and Lightspeed Venture Partners. Founders Fund's involvement marks its largest investment to date. Palmer Luckey founded Anduril after leaving Meta, where he sold Oculus. Anduril plans to collaborate with Meta to develop extended reality devices for the U.S. military. VC-backed startups in the defense sector generated $3 billion in 102 deals last year, showing a growing investment trend.
