Web3 Magic - interviews with builders of novel blockchain solutions

Today I talk about Fleeboys NFTsIt's one of these projects where team is visible everywhere on Spaces (at least recently) but the launch and mint are super slow which can be discouraging. I like the mission of the project and I'm happy to shine a little bit of light on them. Hopefully it can help a bit.Fleeboys NFTs are a 10k collection inspired by fashion, style, culture and community of NYC - Brooklyn specifically. This project is made and inspired by mother and son team's story, where Trey, age 22, has beat the odds of growing up in Brooklyn. They want to encourage young people to get involved in positive activities such as arts and technology, instead of drugs, bullying and mindless games. They are also partnering with You Gotta Believe, an organization that helps teenagers in foster care find permanent families in NYC. Obviously NYC, like any large metropolitan area, is not an easy place to grow up and I like projects focusing on real-life issues in their vincity because it makes the roadmap and plans very real and relatable as well as belieavable. Today I'm gonna talk about one of the projects I'm watching (and part of) for a long time. It's NeonPantheon with their upcoming Ascendend collection which shall be coming any day - but team is still teasing!NeonPantheon is a project with fully doxxed team which is bringing experiential augmented reality, real interactive minting experience and which promotes cultural diversity and inclusion. Mouthfull, I know, but I'll explain.The main idea behind the project is an experiential Augmented Reality. Where your deities (NFTs) exist in a realm only accessible by Neonites, worshippers of the deities. The purpose is to guide humanity towards mutual respect among races, cultures, and financial classes. Let's celebrate humanity and all its differences. That's why all deities are genderless and have traits from mix of different cultures.Neonites are humans = me, you, owners of deity NFTs. You are the one responsible for writing a story of your deity and spreading the word. Deities are unique and have traits that are inspired by different cultures and they are all genderless.Genesis deities tend to take on timeless ethereal forms and are identified by their open eyes, a symbol of enlightenment. There are only 888 of them. Today is a short Easter episode where I talk about Miss O Cool Girls NFTs (MissO for short): MissO is aiming to support girls and what it means to be a female of the future because there is no one definition of what it means to be a girl. From the creators of "Miss O and Friends" which is supposed to be the #1 tween girls social network and brand established since 2005. The MissO is a series of 10,000 NFTs inspired by drawings of Juliette (one of co-founders) when she was 10 and illustrated by her mom, Hermine (second co-founder). So it's mom - daughter duo entering NFTs space.On the roadmap there are things you'd expect like - web3 edu, events, podcast, 3D airdrop to 2D holders (nice) and there’s a merch shop in collab with 12 year old blockchain designer Ariella Maizner and that is also cool idea!The MissO project is minting slowly since March 30 for friendly price of 0.04 ETH. Today I'm talking mainly about Pastel Persons:I thought I talked about Pastel Persons but apparently I haven’t and it's a mistake I need to correct. PPs are women-led NFT project made up of 8,900 randomly generated pastel persons (male, female, kids, etc.) which I like - hopefully I find one like me :) It’s family-friendly NFT where the team decided to abolish the whitelist grind and everyone can join pastel-list.Their mission is to onboard women, youth, and other under-represented demographics into Web3 and to provide educational resources for the community.They are donating to Girls Who Code and have their own Pastel Mentorship program - you can join as mentor or mentee right now and help with hands-on effort to onboard women and families into the space. Today I'm talking about two female led NFT projects;The first one is Fortuna NFT:Fortuna is female led project on a mission to empower, educate and support women in web3. The project has Brasilian roots. Check founders Jess, Sarah and Daira and their artist Pxlpxi. Artists on the team have drawn professionally for the likes of Disney and Nike, and had their work featured in international magazines such as Vogue and Cosmo, so you are in good hands.The roadmap is simple and clear - mint, create DAO, donation and create Angel Fund. It seems important to the team that the portion of sales will go toward building a shelter for abused women. Big part of DAO work shall be Angel Fund which will help proliferate female web3 presence. Today I'm talking about the NFT game with the planet-saving idea behind it and it is very cool. Aeternals are 10.000 impact-driven NFTs. Elements are inspired by the native flora of the Amazon mimicking the rainforest’s biodiversity. Each NFT has 3 stages of evolution coded into it - depending on how you engage with the game - BUDDING, BLOOMING, and ENLIGHTENED. Being in an Enlightened state has other extra benefits. First I talk about colorful NotSoDead NFT:It is a project of an artist Laura inspired by Day of the Dead celebrations in hispanic cultures. Great tag lines like Everlasting Beauty, Eternal Bonds, Living Memories actually fit very well into the atmosphere of the website. There will be a total of 10,000 Not So Dead Catrinas created out of 250+ unique traits. Mint timing was just recently announced -> May18 pre-sale, May 19 public sale and each artwork will cost - 0.05 ETH (or 0.04 ETH on pre-sale). Which means pretty reasonable pricing.Holders of Not So Dead Catrinas will have a fun & cute piece of art and will be eligible to participate in holder-exclusive giveaways like Hoodies and ETH to some lucky holders when project will reach minting milestones. And of course later will come more contests and priority in future collections.For the roadmap, I would say, don't expect much more than charity donations. Today I'm talking about Backpack Buddiez and 6 year old artist Eliz.First - Backpack BuddiezI accidentally bumped into this project which has some cute art focused on kids and has a nice tagline - backpack Buddiez helping each other.It is a collection of 10.000 Buddiez generated from over 300 traits. Founders want to create strong community to help kids learn and transform their neighbourhoods through action. They also want to build two schools (!) in partnership with BuildON - which is well-known non-profit that already built over 2.000 schools in rural villages in 8 different developing countries. There are also things like merch, 3D buddiez, IRL events, stories, and more on the roadmap.Team of eight is doxed and includes young teacher, couple of artists, mod, dev and project lead. So on the surface it looks well organized, but community building results don't really confirm that "we know what we're doing" feeling. Given that they wanted to launch on April 7th the community is very small.Before publishing the podcast and writing this summary the team announced push of the mint date for later. They didn't say the date yet but acknowledged the need for time to build larger community so they could fulfil their goals. Today I'm talking about another manga/anime inspired project which is minting soon called Shinsekai. It has cool looks and doxed team, plus real advisors which worked in NFT space, so should be safe.Shinsekai is an anime and manga brand that attempts to build the greatest NFT manga community and be a bridge between web2 and web3 manga worlds. To achieve that, they will publish a manga book called Futuros where all characters from Futuros are part of upcoming NFT collection. They will also create a Mangaverse, start a clothing brand, then develop other related products revolving around Shinsekai Corp. They will be providing a way for their members to use their favorite characters as avatars in virtual reality. Art produced till now in sneak peeks are pretty cool.Joining Shinsekai means you will become part of probably the largest web3 Manga & Anime family. Today I'm talking about PaperHands NFTs. It's a paint2earn game which I consider a cool motive and I like their art. I'll will watch it carefully after the reveal. If anyone wants to play while drawing, there's a simplified version of the game already running on Discord, you have levels, prizes etc. If you like drawing and guessing definitely check it out.The project is minting now (started from Mar20) for 0.08 EHT. You can mint 2 NFTs from the total supply of 8.888. Currently, there's about 25-30% of the supply minted. The first project, I'm going to talk about today is called Euphorians: and it caught my eye with their art. It's kind of flashy, trippy, colorful, and feels refreshingly different. Just check their website and sneak peeks on Twitter and you'll see a skeleton astronaut, a floating brain of a man, a wonderfully colorful man with mushrooms on his head, and more. Just cool stuff.Not that I'm much into psychedelic and mental health but I discovered that I minted a number of projects from that sphere but it all started with their PFP art and possibly interesting discord community.Euphorians are now minting their Genesis collection which has 6,969 NFTs. Their mission is to have the highest quality art which should in future collections be a bit less "human" like (just alpha I heard in some Spaces).You should be soon able to stake your Euphorian and earn $Eurhoria token. Nice name and mushrooms on the coin are a nice touch. There are some collaborations coming and also a chance to have your Euphorian customized by an artist. So if you have enough $Euphoria and an idea you might be on the way to have an absolutely unique NFT. Of course, there are also metaverse plans, IRL events, and 3D collection.The team is fully doxed. The project I'll talk about today is called Plant Parade; it's a project from husband and wife duo. Hence it's fully doxxed team with illustrator Chris.Plant Parade is a collection of 5,000 plant personalities eager crated from hand-drawn illustrations. The team says that real plants have proven to increase serotonin, boost your mood, improve mental health and reduce stress - why not to have some of it in digital space.Plant Parade team wants to use this project to make environmental impact by using funds from this initial collection to grow a real forest from ground up by donating to ReforestAction which is well know charity focusing on deforestation topic.I'll be honest, I like the mission but I don't see enough hype and lore around the project for now. Today I continue in March theme of women led projects. Today's project showcase is called Colorful Rebels;Colorful rebels are fem led project, or maybe I should say it is a project led by young couple, where Fientje, a 26 year old graphic designer from Belgium, is the prominent person. Her mission is similar to many others; it is to create a platform to welcome women from anywhere into Web3. While it's a worthy big mission, it has become kind of generic claim, which if not backed by more concrete ideas or really passionate community building actions before mint, may not work as lore for many. There are some concrete action on the roadmap like the purchase of NFTs from other female led projects or artists at 75% mint and airdrop for genesis holders. March tradition continues so today I'm talking about female led project which is also targeting mainly females (would be my guess).The project I'll talk about today is Diamond Handbags:From a team with decades in the tech & luxury space comes a new take on Luxury within NFT space. Diamond Handbag is certainly not your typical PFP. The project I'm gonna talk about today is called Latino Society:In the tradition of March as Women History Month, it is the women led project with fully doxxed team. Latino Society wants to - celebrate talent and energy and I also see colorful vibe of the Latino community. Collection will feature 10,000 unique NFTs that transport your PFP to a beautiful destination evocative of our Latino heritage.I like the slogan: "Join the party, meet amazing people from around the world and be part of the movement of latinos in web3".Latino society is about access and education. They plan to use proceeds from mint and royalties to fund "Get Access" scholarships to the latino community at large.They partner with NAS Academy as the global education provider to onboard as many lations as possible as quickly as possible into web3. The first project I'm talking about today is Pocket Friends;Pocket friends is a curated hand-drawn collection of 10.000 colorful characters on the mission to promote a positivity for children and their parents through the art of storytelling. Each pocket friend is 1 of 1 based on a combination of randomized attributes.There are chameleon calvin, squirt the turtle, rip the badger, duck Sonya, or betty hamster each trying to help kids to do different positive things like feel good about themselves, help to focus or help angry kids to feel loved and being part of something bigger. The plan is to create a global crowdsourced community that will focus on promoting diversity, teamwork, knowledge, integrity, patience, understanding, and love. Today is a bit special because I only talk about one project and then I mention briefly two projects whose mint dates are this weekend and I talked about them more before on the podcast.The project I wanto to highlight today is RELI3F:I guess we are/were all horrified by the war which started in Ukraine. Maybe even more because there are many Ukrainien friends here in web3 space and it's hard to imagine what it feels like when someone invades your country and home. RELI3F in my eyes is the shining example of positive things web3 community is able to do. It started with a tweet from Andrew Wang which was picked up by Satvik Sethi and they've put into motion the idea of raising money for Ukraine with help of prolific NFT artist friends. In less than 24h they've put together 30+ artists, prepared a collection of donated pieces and run a mint whose whole initial and secondary proceeds will go directly to support Ukraine. The first project I'm talking about today is GenomesDAO:Super interesting project where GenomesDAO is building Your DNA bank. This is potentially huge, because right now all genomic data stay with the companies like 23andme but here, you not only get your cool Geneticat PFP, but also a DNA testing kit and assurance that 100% of your genome will be sequence. Results will be locked in Genome Mining Wault accessible only with your crypto wallet. That means you can decide in the future to participate in research which pharmaceutical companies or university labs do by providing your genomic data as part of the larger set and be rewarded for it.Also on the roadmap there's a secret generative art piece based on your genome. The first project I'm talking about today is artists focused MojoHeads:And MojoHeads have a simple mission to help artists be seen. It's a collection of official rookie cards for emerging artists. Artists are nominated by their peers and you can collect the rising stars of the NFT art world. There were two groups minted so far. Typically 20+ artists in a group with 21 expressions for each. Future MojoHeads will be selected by the previous group and I like that each has QR code leading to the artist's profile, and some are signed, etc. It's basically fun to just browse the collection and see people's profiles behind these PFPs. The first project I talk about is Enchanted Valley:Enchanted Valley is mysterious world hidden at the edge of time and space…it is harmoniuous and beautiful world holding secrets. It will be the world of digital avatar collectibles randomly generated from a record breaking ~1500 traits, across 5 drops of 2200 NFTS each, i.e. 11000 NFTs. It has kind of misterious vibe and colorful calming visuals which probably should be expected from made-up world. Anyway I'm happy it's not another apocalyptic theme project. Having a global team it seems we shall expect a lot. They definitely want to celebrate diversity and I kind of like that the project is not hyped. The first project I'm talking about today is Tribe X:The story starts with humans on the verge of extinction. To survive and finally earn our fair share, The 12 Tribes must unite and give life to Tribe X. Tribe X will be starting with 11,111 female avatars with cool-looking art. The team says: "we've decided to start with women because women are the reason for our existence. Without women, there would be no civilization". I like that. Just a caveat Tribe X is not female-led team but there are females on the team.A portion of the net mint proceeds will be donated to charity, part will be reinvested into the Tribe X Ecosystem to form The Tribe X DAO, stand up $TRIBEXFIRE utility token and Tribe X Agency. Of course, some metaverse world building, and more...will (maybe) come.It’s an example of a project you should stay away from until it proves itself. But this is just my opinion. The first project I talk about today is Martian Premier League (MPL):The lore for MPL goes along the lines of professor Gaffer setting up a new football league on Mars. He’s building a transporter capable of beaming 9000 humans up to Mars. His mission? To build a new football league that would embody the values of the game he used to know and love. You might have guessed that they are building a game. The upcoming genesis PFP mint art is created by Rupert Gruber (Marvel, Sony, Universal) and will act not only as your character but also as your mint pass to the whole Mars Universe. Holders' first reward will ability to create a genesis player who can operate in the Martian Premier League (separate NFT on L2). This additional NFT will act as the gateway for participation in the Martian Premier League and all the mechanics outlined in their whitepaper. Today I'm gonna showcase for you two older projects which have been rising recently their floors and activity surrounding them. Both have metaverse and gaming aspects and super strong communities and vision.The first project I talka about is Pixelface:Pixelface started as a project of Jasper Minds. It started as a Pixelface NFTs giveaways but there was a larger vision about building community and whole metaverse universe. And in those 2-3 months since I'm watching Jasper moving it forward I can only say I'm amazed how much he (and now also community) managed to deliver. The first project I want to highlight today is called Hypnotica:This project is minting now, actually started yesterday. I like it because it produces interesting colliding shapes. They say it's a ballance between chaos and order, between noise and harmony, between sharpness and smoothness all colliding into one.It seems to me kind of hypnotic. Maximum of 2048 Hypnotica will ever be produced and if nothing, I'd at least go and check their website, because even the website is very cool!https://www.hypnotica.xyz/The second project of generative art which I find fascinating is called Nebula41Why I like it is that it generates artwork based on your words and choices - so kind of like based on your story. And you can keep changing the story until you're satisfied before you mint. They say they are the first AI generated art collection on Ethereum with MP4 visual rendering. Well, can't say I have seen anything like it before. MP4 rending which gives you effectively moving artwork is cool, plans to have $PAINT token which you will accrue if your Nebula is not listed and you can redeem it for e.g. additional music added to your canvas or physical prints are nice touches.https://nebula41.io/Both projects have doxxed teams and are minting now. Today I'm highligting two music NFTs projects with smaller collections and kind of collector's vibe. Not your typical 10.000 pcs collection, that's what I'm saying!The first one is called Nifty Sax Spheres It's a collection of meditative, solo saxophone music which is coded into 55 unique, audio-reactive tokens with total supply of 385 pcs. Both have entered recently, have floor prices oscillating around 0.11-0.15 EHT and they present interesting long-term play for anyone who's the fan. Today I'm putting the spotlight on two European projects which caught my eye. Both because of the art. One is hot and the second one is a disappointing story of abandon, but you may still like the art.The first project I wanna mention is the Rebels by House of Kalinkin. Amazing art, great fashion and big IRL (in real life) and metaverse fashion brand plans. Fully transparent team and the head designer Robert coming from Lituania. I think we need more European projects like this. I'm mentioning them mainly because they recently sold out and as it sometimes happens floor is relatively low at 0.064 ETH so it is a good time to jump in before more announcements come in.
